Emmarie knew the preacher or her Mom had shared her secret with someone at the church. And that someone had shared it with someone else and that cycle continued and now everyone knows. She felt ashamed and embarrassed. She felt betrayed and angry. So angry. Rage, even. In the next few sessions with the preacher and her Mother, she sat in complete silence. She didn’t say a word. No matter how hard they tried to pry and pray, she stood her ground and didn’t make a single sound. Not even for a simple throat clearing. Her Mother grew increasingly frustrated and the preacher’s eyes deepened in judgement and superiority. But Emmarie didn’t care. They had ruined her life and broke her trust. So why should she show any respect or understanding to their point of view? Any compassion for their feelings that are involved have vanished and considering, I think that was understandably so. Especially his. This behavior is the total opposite of everything he claims to believe in. Love the sinner, hate the sin? Forgive as God forgives you? Come as you are? Don’t judge or thou shall be judged? It’s all total bullshit. Hypocrites, all of them. I believe in God. But they’re not this way. They’re how they say they are. God’s never in a church. They’re out here shape shifting… observing, visiting, testing… all of us. As animals, insects, people (homeless, disabled, male, female, rich, poor, etc…). So, you better be on your best behavior. You’ll have to answer for it all. It’ll be played on video in front of everyone. Everyone, everywhere. Every last bit of it. These Christians have a reality check coming. And it’s going to be a glorious day.
