Some people are born more on the good side. And others on the bad. Same goes for all complex living beings. Dogs, cats, cows, pigs, etc… no creature is safe from nature. But nurture can alter that natural state or intensify it. If you’re born good and have a healthy and happy upbringing you’re gonna likely be a saint. If you’re bad leaning and grow up abused, neglected, and underestimated… then you can probably count on the chance that person will develop into a monster. But if you’re born good and grow up with the latter for vice versa, then what? You could fight your circumstances and not succumb to your environment and triumph or who you are can develop an alter ego almost. A devil on the shoulder have an angel or angel on the shoulder have a devil. This is how I envision psychopathic children with no history to cause symptoms suddenly seem to evolve a conscious or don’t fall to their inner urges. Or how a once joyful and full of life child or friendly and giggly baby start acting out and finding pleasure or even relief from hurting others and showing little emotion on the face . Or when a bad natured lives and… well, and instead of having a positive effect from it, use it to manipulate and mask what they are. Evil. And that’s what true evil is. Nature and nurture are both matched bad. All of the above is checked and equals bad bad. Or when a good child survives (and triumphs like mentioned earlier) a bad childhood and in adulthood works in a field to advocate and save kids like her. All good. Good + Good. 👈🏻👈🏻👈🏻👈🏻 So yes you may not be able to change who someone is at their core. In their DNA. How they’re genetically made up. But you absolutely can influence what they do with that. How/Who they use it to benefit. That’s my take on it anyway. After all, this is just an opinion. Not a fact… by technical definition, that is.
